Anyone living in Dakota County is eligible to become a client of The Open Door. Open Door has a language translation service if you don’t speak English. Encouraged to bring your own bags. Appointment Notes: At your first appointment, they recommend (but don’t require) that you bring a picture ID or mail with your current address. Appointments may be made once a month. In addition to monthly appointments, you’re also welcome to receive food at their Pop Up Produce distributions, visit one of their Mobile Lunchbox locations for your children, and apply for your own garden plot. This food shelf provides free groceries and food support to individuals and families in the community. Services are offered at designated pick-up locations and may include scheduled distributions, basic intake requirements, and referrals to additional resources based on availability and need.
